Travelodge Chippenham

Got a room for the night of a work social. The room itself was well presented, with a surprisingly comfortable bed compared to experiences at other Travelodges in the past. Location was easily accessible, being across the road from the train station. Was greeted by a very lovely receptionist (Annie, I believe?) who was incredibly welcoming and helpful, making the check in experience very smooth and friendly.

Nice, big rooms. Great location, right next to the train station. The breakfast was okay, but more variety would have been nice. I would have given a higher score if there had been a fridge in our rooms or a luggage room in the reception area.

This is one of the newer Travelodge hotels, but it seems it's not being maintained, which is a shame as simple as it sounds regular maintenance could really extend its life and customer satisfaction. The room I was in the extractor fan wasn't working, both sink and shower tray were pretty much clogged so the water was draining for a good 10-15 minutes. Some marks on walls and carpet, general wear and tear. Some noise from the outside, we stayed in the room right above the car park hotel exit and got woken up by people coming and going. Rooms have aircon which really helped in the heat. Overall this is a better hotel than the one on the M4, much newer. Stayed one night.

I stayed with my wife in an accessible room, a long way from Reception, although I booked last year! Bit a member of staff helped us a lot, so it turned out well. The room was a good size. The bed was wide and I found it comfortable, although my wife thought the mattress a little too hard. The pillows are very good. The usual had set a fan operating when we arrived, although we felt the lack of air conditioning in mid July! The wet room was fully wiped for accessible meds, very good provision of grab rails (fixed and foldable), toilet at the right height, and a solid fold-down chair in the shower. Easier pressure was OK, bit their seemed to be water miser fitted - I can never see the point, it just meant I had to stay in the shower liner to rinse off, so won't have saved any water. I was surprised they're were no plug sockets at the head of the bed, which would mean charging phones on the other side of the room, and make use of medical equipment difficult. But Reception lent us an extension lead, so no problem. Staff were amazing!

What a fantastic Travelodge, a great budget dog-friendly hotel. We are staying for a few days to visit Bath Christmas Market with family. The service and welcome from Vanessa and Maya on reception was fantastic, they really went out of their way to give us two rooms next to each other - they are a real credit to the hotel. Highly recommend staying here to visit Chippenham or quick trains into Bath and Bristol.

First time here for a one night business stop. Easy to access with ample parking. Modern, clean and bright throughout. Better than I expected, and highly recommended. If I were to moan, the shower heads could be better adjustable and better soap dispensers would be good, but overall I was extremely happy with the rate of my stay at a bargain of £35! Shout out to Leon and Anna, who were simply lovely and went the extra mile to make me feel welcome. This pair are so friendly and are a credit to the team.

Great modern rooms, receptionist didn't want to help with changing our room to overlook the railway, had to constantly wait for breakfast items to be replenished, location is perfect for Chippenham town centre, plenty of parking with easy access to reception as I'm disabled, we will return as it's very quiet.

Very comfortable bed, clean room, with a nice en-suite. Shaver socket not working and nowhere to put away clothes.
